The Children’s Surgery National Applied Research Hospital Presented its Latest Technology at 3D Print Expo 2017, Moscow

3D Print Expo 2017, the largest in Eastern Europe exhibition of 3D printing, additive technologies and equipment, was held on October 13-14, 2017 in Moscow.

For the fifth time 3D Print Expo has proven itself as an excellent space for professional communication in the field of 3D printing (producers of the equipment, developers of the productive software), amateurs and enthusiasts of the industry.

The program of the Forum included not only the exhibition, but a highly topical business agenda: conferences, round tables and workshops.

Around 5, 000 guests from the CIS and far abroad countries visited the Event.

This year the leaders of the industry as well as regional companies, demonstrating its latest and hi-tech achievements in 3D printing, participated in the exhibition.

In particular, the Children’s Surgery National Applied Research Hospital took part in 3D Print Expo 2017 together with the company TTF-group, working together on development of 3D printer on soft reagents maximum corresponding to the physical characteristics of organs’ tissue. Such printer will allow to create a scanned on a tomograph organ, which requires surgical treatment. The developers presented a working prototype and models of hearts with congenital defects.

The technology itself and its application has raised a particular interest among the guests and participants. The representatives of the Children’s Surgery National Applied Research Hospital have discussed the development trends of additive technologies and its application, and raised the opportunities for cooperation.

Agreements on cooperation with Moscow Aviation Institute and a Russian company, developing software for medical purposes, are reached.
